Hello everyone! My name is Joel Peter. I am 28 years old. I was born and raised in India. I am a Mechanical Engineer by qualification with experience in the field of Product Compliance for the past 5 years. I am currently working as a Product Compliance Intern at Würth in Künzelsau-Gaisbach from March 2020.
How did I come across Würth?
The first time I heard about Würth and its products was while I was working in Dubai, UAE. With previous work experience in the field of Product Compliance, I applied for the internship position as my interest in Product Compliance concepts followed in the European region grew and being a part of Würth would be an exciting opportunity to kick start my career into the European market.
What makes an internship at Würth special?
Firstly, the warm welcoming event made me felt a part of the Würth family. The event organizers were cordial and helpful in various aspects. As an add-on, I was surrounded by an amazing group of interns with whom I made good connections and shared thoughts on topics related to travel, work, food, etc. Once I started working, the overall experience has been very refreshing and great. The flexible timings, Fit mit Würth takes it a level above the generic working environment and make it a very interactive and relaxed workplace. My colleagues were very helpful in training me with various aspects of Product Compliance followed at Würth.
My current tasks as a Product Compliance intern
I am currently given the task of handling external supplier communications and technical file database management for Power tools, Lightings and Electronic products. With growing regulations and market surveillance, I am also responsible to review product labels and instruction manuals to ensure they are compliant to sell in the market. Overall, as a product compliance team, our objective is to deliver Quality and Safety for consumers.
